Increasingly inaccurately named

So, I'm half-listening to DNTO (I find it sort of comforting to have the CBC chattering away in the background, even if I'm only intermittently paying attention to it), and, for the second time in as many weeks, they're playing... opera. Not as much as a whole aria at a time, mind you—the show's attention span doesn't allow for that, but snippets of what is definitely, unmistakably, opera, mixed in among the interviews, alt-pop Cancon, banter, blither, and whatever's on Sook-Yin's iPod.

Not that I mind, mind you; I likes a bit of opera now and then. But I think they're going to have to start calling it Probably Not The Opera, for the sake of truth in advertising.

Well, if I were going to be picky, I might say that the title is Definitely Not The Opera, and that the odd aria or two, while being from an opera, is not The Opera, as broadcast from the Met (or whereever). And as such, it's not really false advertising.

If I were being picky.

Which you're not, of course.

Of course not! Heaven forbid.
